Intraoral Dental Scanning

Intraoral scanning is a modern digital alternative to the older technology of taking impressions in the mouth and fabricating stone models of teeth.  Intraoral Dental Scanning uses technology similar to the panorama photo function on your phone.  A small camera on a wand is used to scan around different angles and views of the teeth and then almost instantaneously stitch the data into an extremely accurate 3D model.  The digital model can then be 3D printed in our office to make life-sized models of the teeth to aid in diagnosis, or the file can be sent to the lab to digitally aid in construction of crowns, veneers, implant restorations and more!
